This is amazing. I used strawberry icecream, and it still tasted amazing. My icecream was a little thawed so I figured one cube of ice per cup of icecream would work, and it did! This is really good! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Classic ...Awesome recipe item not reviewed by moderator and published
I've tried dozens of milkshake recipes, and although the basic ingredients are all quite similar, Paula's is the best I've tasted. The key is using a high quality ice cream; low quality brands seem to produce a grainy result. If you like thick shakes like my family, do as the recipe says and simply add less milk or more ice cream. For a chocolate shake, add chocolate syrup-- about 1:2 syrup:milk ratio. Sure beats the artificial "milk"shakes sold at fast-food chains. (Love You, Paula Deen.) item not reviewed by moderator and published

little heavy on the sugar item not reviewed by moderator and published
Like everyone else is saying, could use less sugar and maybe a bit less vanilla extract. I made the original then ended up just doubling the recipe without adding anymore sugar or vanilla and it tasted great. That said, I've had good recipes that didn't use sugar or vanilla extract at all so maybe I just wasn't prepared for just how sweet this would be. item not reviewed by moderator and published

Brands of products vary depending on location and demographic... not all brands are available everywhere! What I would suggest, starting with the milk, use full cream or whole milk; and with respect to all ingredients, use the best available to you in your area! :) item not reviewed by moderator and published
