These are delicious! If you're not a sugar fan, I suggest leaving out the sugar. It all depends on the ice cream you use. The ice cream we used had enough sugar so we opted out on adding more. Overall, these were a big hit!

I thought these weren't so bad, but they bombed in our household! Nobody wants to drink theirs. What a waste!

Everyone thought it was too sweet. I definitely don't recommend adding those eight tablespoons of sugar. I think that was a bit over the top. We used Friendly's French Vanilla ice cream... Don't know what happened.

We made Bobby Flay's Double Chocolate Marshmallow Milkshakes yesterday and they were a big hit. Not a single drop leftover!

I did not use any sugar. A good quality ice cream has plenty of sugar. Yummy!

It is great but does not need this much sugar... I put in 1/2 Tbl of sugar and it is enough... my kids love this!

Delicious! I skipped the added sugar altogether and I think it's perfect! I threw in a brownie for a little something extra and I'll just say....YUM!

Please. Please. Please. If you make it, come back and leave a review and rank some reviews you find helpful or unhelpful.

The premise of this recipe is fine. It's just simply too sweet. To the people who say this tastes like a McDonald's milkshake, I say you must be going to a different McDonald's. It's possible whoever transcribed the recipe wrote down tablespoon instead of teaspoon.

Also, why are the people who say it's too sweet giving the recipe 5 stars? Surely this is worth some deduction?

So, I was a bit skeptical about using the sugar due to other reviews. I guess I have a habit of doing what the recipe says, at least for the first time, so tried it with all of the sugar and all I can say is PERFECT! If you like Mcdonalds milkshakes you WILL like this one exactly as it is written in the recipe! I don't think I can change anything to make it better, except doubling the recipe LOL!
