Oh, dear, this was wonderful, and I am a sophisticated cook!! I always try before serving to a group. Cook for 50 minutes, as 30 minutes is not enough. Then, get out of the way because they will trample you to get to it. It can rest for a while in case you are serving for thanksgiving, which I intend to do. A real 5 star!!

    Hi Paula,
Can't get Vidalia Onions in the Pac NW this time of year. What other onion would work (since nothing compares to the delish Vidalia!? Thanks!

This is a wonderful side dish! The ingredients are simple every day items and it was so easy to prepare. The filling is like a very light quiche, not heavy at all. I did add more salt and some garlic powder and it turned out really well. I think a little grated cheese would go nicely with the filling. This will be on my table often in place of the usual sides I serve at dinner. Thanks again Paula!

I made this last night as a side dish and found I had to bake it longer than the 30 minutes the recipe listed. I even turned the temperature up to 350 for the last ten minutes. It took almost an hour to bake but was definately worth the wait. My husband was moaning on the first bite! I sent a couple of pieces to work with him for his lunch and he shared with his co-workers. They all loved it too and wanted the recipe. Definately a keeper!! Thanks Paula!! :
