My aunt made this for a family get-together and it was delicious! It was a big hit with our family. I agree with another reviewer, thinking the onions might be over-powering, but it wasn't. It was just right. My aunt also added more bacon than the recipe called for. We had no leftovers! I'll definitely make this for my family!

Loved it. Don't know if it was just mine I only let it sit a couple minutes and when I cut it, it was watery. It was still very good but I saw that the rest of the pie had settled better. So I think it needs to set for about 10 minutes or so. Also, just like the other observations it needs to cook longer than 30 minutes. Mine was close to an hour.

Excellent and very easy. I had the same observation as another reviewer: it took closer to 50 minutes to cook rather than 30. I added about 3/4 cup of grated Swiss cheese and it was fabulous. I used light sour cream and skim milk because that's what I normally buy and it was still great (that may have been what added to the cooking time. Took this to our neighborhood pig roast last night and it was gone in about 10 minutes, and people were asking for the recipe. This dish is perfect just about any time of day. A definite keeper!

    Very tasty. Very easy.
I cooked this for much longer then 30 minutes, though. More like 50 minutes. Will have to have my oven temperature checked.
This is also suitable for a breakfast or brunch.

I made this last night for Father's Day. It was delicious. I didn't have any bacon, forgot it at the store, so I sprinkled cheddar cheese over the top. A really good side dish!

After seeing Paula's show and reading the reviews I made 2 pies for an casual wedding of 40 that was serving BBQ, it was the talk of the crowd. They were delicious. I used the real bacon bits in the package and that worked great. The cooking time said 30 mins but I had to cook mine about 15 mins longer. You could add chunked ham and I think that would be good. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thanks Paula....5 star dish.
