Wonderful! I discovered Land O Lakes white American cheese found in the deli section. It makes a wonderful queso and is far better than Velveeta.

I made this recipe for a card party. It was easy and fabulous. I actually used an imitation crab meat and used more cumin and added a couple jalapenos. The best thing I have eaten in a couple of years. We loved it.

This was just wonderful. But if there are any other cheapskates out there note that I could not bring myself to spend upwards of $24.00 on crabmeat.(I'm in the midwest and even an hour drive would not find anything cheaper. So I settled for 8 ounces of claw meat. I added chopped sauteed green and red pepper for additional substance. Everyone still raved about the "crab" dip. Can't wait to make it again when I am feeling flush for a lucky few friends. Also added extra jalapenos.

This is a new recipe I will be using often at get togethers! Great appetizer, everyone loved it. Absolutely not a diet food, but sooo delicious. Hard to walk away from. I substituted white wine for beer to make it gluten-free for a friend of mine, and I think I liked it better with the wine. Very mild spicy flavor, if you like it spicier, I would add more jalapeno or some cayenne. Also, I used canned crabmeat and it still tasted great!

Yummy dip, with nice texture. As previous reviewer mentioned, it seems too thin @ 1st, but thickens as it sits. We like things spicy, so next time I'll add some minced, raw jalapeno's &/or kick up the cayenne a bit. But, of course, that's personal taste. It's a keeper! Thanks Paula!

I made this for a Derby party with people who love food and like to share new things as well as the tride and trues...it was very well recieved! I made a substitution of BumbleBee canned white meat crab instead of the pricey fresh lump crabmeat..I figured that with all the other strong flavors it would do just fine. It thickens and melds the flavors nicely after standing for about 30 min in insulated caserole dish..definetly a do over!
