I saw Paula Deen make this salad on TV in 2005 & was intrigued, because I like all of the ingredients but never in my wildest imagination would I have thought to combine them. I'm here to tell you this is a fabulously delicious salad and I'm so happy I got up the courage to try it one year later. Even my husband (Mr. "I don't like watermelon" asked me to make it a second time in one week. Coincidentally, this was also his intro to Feta cheese, which he now loves. Oh. I might add that he only let me give a very small container to our neighbors & even made me cut back a bit on how much I had in there. And of course, our friends wanted the recipe, which I was happy to provide. Thank you, Paula ... this recipe is a KEEPER!

I craved watermelon my entire pregnancy and saw this recipe on the show and HAD to make it. I made it for my Mother's Day lunch with my family and it was a hit - even with the kids! The use of the watermelon, vinegar, and feta together was absolutely refreshing!

When I saw this being made and the combination of ingredients, it was one of those that you just had to try just to see and taste the end result. Needless to say, it was superb!! I have recommended this one to all and they loved it as much as I. It was easy, it was fresh, it was not the usuall and it was divine. This has to be my favorite salad for summertime.

Who knew vidalia onions and watermelon would go so well together! I would definately make this again! It came out a little soupier than I would have liked so I'll cut back a little on the wet ingredients and make sure it gets good and chilled in the fridge.

While the combo of ingredients seems odd, it is addictive! Try it on your guests at the next gathering--Thanks, Paula!

I love the combinations of flavors...took it to a family dinner and they were all a little thrown off that it was watermelon and not tomato, but there wasn't a bite left in the bowl!!

I've made this several times and everyone seems to be surprised by the flavors in it. I use a lot of cilantro (Italian parsley instead of mint and I omit the feta cheese. It's still amazing. Very refreshing on a hot summer day!

I was very skeptical when I seen this recipe, but it ws very easy to make and everyone that ate it at my family dinner enjoyed it very much.

The taste of the onion and the watermelon with the mint was very satisfying and everyone enjoyed the fresh tast with the olive oil.

I was very pleased with this.
