I just made this sauce for the first time and it was delicious!!! I made 2 minor changes - 1. I used golden raisins, and 2. I also added in a handful of dried cherries. I served it to my family for our pre-Christmas dinner and it got rave reviews! Amazing for such an easy recipe!

It tastes great even without Grand Marnier. I always like to have fruit in cranberry sauce. But walnuts... OMG. What a great addition to the sauce!!!

I love cranberry relish as long as it is sweet, and this one is sweet and nutty, just like me!
I did substitute one thing: I couldn't find my regular raisins, so I used cranraisins. It was delicious and even those who said they do not like cranberry relish did relish this relish. Thanks for the great recipe!

OMG--the best cranberry sauce I've ever had! I subbed the walnuts with pecans and it was excellent. I didn't have Grand Marnier so I added a splash of the red wine I happened to be drinking! : Left out the raisins for personal preference. Thanks Paula and Sons! Will definitely be making this again!

About five weeks ago I put a one pound bag of fresh cranberries in a 1.75 liter bottle of vodka to make fresh cranberry flavored vodka for the holidays. I use the cranberries to make this recipe. I did not add the Grand Marnier, I did add two table spoons of corn starch to thicken the sauce to a jelly. Turned out great and will make again next year.

I discovered this recipe last year and have waited anxiously for the store to get the fresh cranberries back in stock this year. I am planning my third double batch next week. I substitute a little less raw sugar for the white, currants for the raisins, and pecans for the walnuts. Do not make the mistake of substituting the Grand Marnier - there is no substitute. This is the best cranberry sauce ever.
