I've finally found it! THE cranberry sauce! I've tried many and this is finally the one that will become part of our family tradition. I did not have raisins on hand but will use them the next time I make this. Also, I was hesitant about some reviews that said there was a lot of cinnamon so I just put a cinnamon stick in it which I pulled out later. Finally we did add our own twist! Just before serving (I made it the night before and took it out of the fridge 30 minutes before dinner, we stirred in some fresh pomegranate seeds! (We had pomegranate seeds left over because we also made Bobby's pomegranate sangria - this is also our traditional holiday sangria. Anyway - hands down the best cranberry sauce. We just had it again after its been in the fridge now 3 nights and it was still amazing. =

Oh my gosh....my husband LOVED this. Made it exactly as the recipe said. We will be having it for every Thanksgiving dinner! Plus....it was sort of fun having a little Grand Marnier on the side while preparing dinner! :-

Absolutely, hands down, the BEST cranberry sauce I have ever made/had. It was so tart and sweet at the same time! I didn't have fresh cranberries so I used canned, and I was nervous that it may not come out good. But I was pleasantly surprised! I just skipped adding the water (since the jelly portion melted down and kept everything else the same. I also skipped the Grand Marnier. A delicious cranberry sauce!

Very nice! I used triple sec as I didn't have any Grand Marnier & I used dried cherries instead of raisins. Just used a pinch of the spices. It set up like a jelly in the fridge & had a nice tart yet sweet tang - it went great with the Thanksgiving turkey!

THIS WAS SO GOOD. Perfectly sweet and sour, a perfect addition to any Thanksgiving spread. I omitted the nutmeg because I didn't have any, and it was still good. I will make this again for the winter holidays but this time I will toast the walnuts before adding them instead of just boiling them with the mixture. They should be crunchier, IMO.
Also -- We are not drinkers, so I was happy to find a sample size of Grand Marnier at the ABC store. It is 50 ml which equals about .21 of a cup - almost a quarter cup. I used that only and it was enough.

O-M-G... Cranberry sauce is usually just a table decoration for my family. This was passed around the table at least four times. We only had 5 people and there was < 1/4 cup left. Just sayin, LOL

First time ever making cranberry sauce. This dish was simple to prepare and went over great at the dinner table on Thanksgiving.

Really good. What I like most about this dish is that you can still taste the cranberries in the sauce. It's beautiful to look at, too.

This was a great homemade recipe. The tartness was just right and a nice blend with the citrus. The alcohol and nuts were great additions as well. Definitely worth a try and MUCH better than canned cranberry sauce!
