After only a few minutes, I noticed that the cookies were browning too fast so I dropped the temp down to 350. And still I took them out after only 10 minutes. They were good, but it seemed that 350 for 9 minutes worked best. Maybe just my oven, but I'm on my 10th batch of Christmas cookies and this is the first time something like this has happened. Also, I thought there were too few cherries. Perhaps 1 cup would have been better, or as someone else suggested, putting a half cherry on top before baking.
Mine spread while cooking, but not a lot, so if you're planning on giving them as gifts, shape them nicely on the sheet before baking.
These are definitely good cookies, but I can't say they are fantastic.

These are SO delicious!! If you are debating whether to try these are not- TRY THEM- you won't be disappointed. I'd suggest taking the cookies out while the tops are still a little squishy, it makes them stay moist longer. Good Luck!

I liked this recipe but the cherries didn't have much flavor. I think next time I'd like to try it with maraschino cherries. 12 minutes of cook time worked for me. Till next time!

These were so good and were gone in 2 seconds! I didn't have a problem with making them. I didn't have enough white chocolate around and I wish I would have, but they still were great!

These cookies were great! I used the candied cherries, and I ended up putting about a cup of them into the batter instead of the half cup it calls for. I halved the cherries and also put a half on top of each cookie before baking them. This made them look really pretty and more uniform. I will make these again!

These cookies are perfect for this time of year (or anytime actually AND are soooo easy to make. You can follow the recipie exactly and come out with a delicious treat! My husband and I managed to run through an entire batch in less then 24 hours! ... and the candied cherries were for sure the best part.

I've been making these for 2 years now and they are my favorite! I use dried cherries and they always come out perfect. What a great flavor combination. Mine arent as flat as the picture either, but I like them a little more plump and they are less greasy when you dont use so much butter. Paula did it again!!

This is a good recipe because you can follow it exactly and get delicious cookies. Simple and perfect. I do not like macademia nuts (or any nuts in my cookies, for that matter so I substituted little toffee bits for the nuts and I thought the cookies were excellent. A good suggestion for anyone who doesn't like nuts in the cookies. Also, I accidentally bought the mini chocolate chips instead of the regular sized ones but they also worked well. Highly recommended - I will be making this recipe again.

I was not prepared to like these cookies, as I don't really care for the candied cherries, but they are great! I have made this recipe MANY times, always exactly as the recipe says and they turn out perfect every time. I use a small scoop to portion out the cookies and I usually get close to 5 dozen; they are always perfect! I actually won a cookie contest using this recipe, so they will ALWAYS be my favorite! BTW, I have used cherry flavored Craisins when I could not find the candied cherries and they worked out just as well. Everyone who has tasted one loves them! I'm baking some for another contest later in the week. I'm confident these will be the best!
