They have good taste but they definatly need the white chocolate coating because they are to dry and bland with out it. I agree with the other reviews that 1 egg and 2 1/4 cups flour is not right.

I love this cookie, so I was surprised it had such low ratings. I compared the recipe that's listed here to a recipe I used to an older one I had printed out. The old recipe only called for 1 1/2 c. flour, so hopefully that will fix the crumbly, dry texture.

These cookies were too dry I flatten them I . Were not at all like they looked on Paula's show. I should have known that one egg was not enough and 2 1/4 cups flour would make them too dry.
Food network please send me the corrected recipe.

WELL...I should have read all the reviews before making this recipe.
I scored big points for the presentation-but the cookies themselves were termed as 'sawdust bites...' My brother discovered if you let the cookie sit in milk for a minute they're very tasty...I burned the white chocolate for lack of attention and used dark chocolate instead. The tops were very tasty : Not one I will remake soon though.

I read through all the reviews before I made these and made the adjustments that most of the reviews suggested. I added 1 egg and 1/2 cup of white sugar and these cookies turned out great. I also only baked for 8 minutes since my oven tends to run hot. They turned out moist and a little chewy and the flavor is great. I agree with the reviews...2 1/4 cups of flour with the oats is too much dry ingredients for only one egg. I think in this recipe size matters too lol...the smaller cookies did not flatten but the suggested size (walnut in the recipe flattened nicely.

These cookies were very dry almost sandy. They did not flatten. I followed the recipe exactly. I will add granulated sugar and another egg and maybe a little more coconut. I am sorry I did not read the reviews before I made the cookies. I will do that next time.

These were great. Only thing I added was 1/2 cup sugar. Plenty moist, and the white chocolate frosting with toasted coconut were a perfect touch. LOVE these!
