Why in the world does a big TV show like this botch up the cooks recipes. I'm sick of this, why do we have to change things around. What if your not a good cook and don't know how to change the recipe. Do you have to read every review to get the recipe right, that is not right.

If I print the recipe and put it in my file, I'm not going to go back to the orginal recipe and read reviews,,,COME ON, ITS TERRIBLE.
Paula don't feel bad, this happened to Giada, Ina and several very good cooks.
Love your show by the way, I write it down while watching, no more going on line for recipes.

On first seeing this, I thought oh boy, Coconut Cookies. Printed it up and started reading the Comments! Sure glad I did! I put the two eggs in, added the exta white sugar ( 1 cup and put it all together. Started with a medium size scoop, flattened them out. Too Big! Went to the small scoop, did not flatten and they spread out just fine. DO NOT COOK MORE THAN 10 MINS. No direction on how to melt the white choclate, so I put it in the micro for 6 mins, stirring after 3 mins. USE 50% POWER! GOOD LUCK!

This was dry, flavourless, and a waste of time and food.

These are some of the best cookies I ever tasted. I used 1 and 3/4 cup of butter and 2 cups of sugar. The walnut size is perfect. I roll them into balls and let them cook for exactly 10 mins. I brought them to work and ended up giving out this recipe many times.

I see some people had troubles with them.....I think if you follow the steps exactly but add a bit more butter and sugar you will have a nice crispy sweet cookie and the topping is to die for!!!!

    Thanks Paula!!!

When I watched her make these cookies, and then compared the show to the recipe, I knew mistakes had been made. First off, you need two eggs, NOT one, and you also need to include at least 1 cup of granulated sugar to supplement the 1/2 cup of brown sugar to hold these together. Making these adjustments, you'll have a good tasting, firm cookie.

Thanks Paula! These cookies came out fabulous. I made them a little bit bigger than a walnut size and they came out perfect. Everyone in my family loved them..

I used one more egg, uses half regular sugar and half brown sugar. I left out the rolled oats and put some white chocolate chips in the batter. The cookies came out moist and good. Nect time I make them I think I will try adding some pecan pieces to replace the rolled oats for a little more texture

Oh my, what is Paula making today - cookies!! Got my little pen out and with rapt attention wrote every ingredient and instruction down. Drove to the store thinking of how I was going to wow my family with another Paula Dean gem. So excited as I got every thing ready ! Measure , mix , and place! (Batter seemed a little dry , but Its Paulas recipe so on we go! Oh joy the timer goes off !! Open the door and Walaaaaaaaaaa- what is that !!! Paula , love ya hon - but this was the worst cookie I ever tasted ( well not the worst- my neice made one that - well lets not go there Cookie didnt flatten out , was too dry/salty and no sweetness ( white chocolate can only help so much! . Thought I had written it down wrong or something , so threw out 1st batch and went online to print out recipe ( should have read the reviews! .This time I even shifted the flour to make sure I didnt use too much!! Still horrible- let me put it this way the "human garbage disposal" in our family wouldnt even eat more than 1 bite!! After reading the reviews might try again later with the adjustments the other reviewers suggested! For those who say this is a great cookie- Please send me the recipe you have - maybe it is different from the one I have . Still love ya Paula but next time will definately read reviews first!!!

I usaually love all of Paula's recipes. But they came out very dry and no flavor. My kids wouldn't even eat them and they eat everything. Only cooked have the batch and threw the rest away. I wasted alot.

The cookies were delicious - however, like other reviews, they didn't flatten and they were crumble. Seemed a bit dry - but tasted amazing nonetheless. Next time I might add another egg or so..
