C'mon Paula, give up the secret of these cookies! Made with the 2 1/4 c flour (and 1/2 c br sugar only they are dry and crumbly and have a shortbread texture & taste. In the episode Paula mentions that the dough should be like that of an oatmeal cookie--on the moist side. This dough is not moist and does not flatten out like her cookies in the show. Maybe the correct flour amt is somewhere btw 1.25 and 2.25 cups--or maybe something else is missing entirely.

I am wanting to try these cookies, but the reviews are all conflicting. Would someone send me the correct recipe.

The cookies turned out dry, did not flattened. No flavor, not sweet enough. I really feel that the recipe is not accruate. A total waste of ingredients. I am going to throw them away.

I have to agree with the rest of the ratings...too dry. Many reviews spoke of a revised recipe, where do I find this?!

Cookie tastes great but is very dry. I would like a way to improve the cookie. I know I would make them often.

I wish I read these reviews before making these cookies! I thought I did something wrong until I read these reviews. I just saw Paula make these on Saturday and followed the recipe exactly. It was a very dry, crumbly mixture and something is definitely missing from the recipe, I'm not sure if it's too much flour and not enough sugar??? My cookies would not flatten, I had to press them myself. Very disappointed that I wasted these ingredients, once I saw how the cookies turned out I didn't bother melting the white chocolate chips-I'll save those for another recipe.

I love Paula Deen, but these cookies are too dry. I read the reviews, thought the recipe had been fixed by the food network, but it did not flatten out, I did that myself. Disappointed as I made them for company.

I guess I should have checked here first, but I've never had a recipe that didn't work out. I used 2-1/4 cups of flour and the 1/2 cup of brown sugar. These never flattened out. I thought perhaps my ingredients were old and I bought fresh flour and soda and baking powder and still nothing.
What a shame.
