This was by far the best garlic bread I have ever tasted. the only thing that I did differently was that I used a thick french bread because I couldn't find sourdough. I would definitely suggest this to anyone and everyone!

Delicious garlic bread. I halved the butter, and unfortunately my garlic was not fully roasted when placed in the oven for the recommended time - didn't find out until it cooled and I tried to mash it up, without success. But it was delicious nonetheless (with whole, partially roasted garlic on the bread.

Sure you can buy already made garlic bread in the store, but after you try this recipe, you'll never buy store baught bread again!! The garlic/butter ratio on this bread is terrific. I also keep the spread in my fridge, and put it on toast with huevos rancheros in the morning. Try this garlic bread with the lasagna from the same episode, and your company or family will never leave!!
    Thanks Paula, you ROCK!!

I tried several garlic bread recipes before finding this one. It is definitely a keeper. I make the garlic spread as listed but I only end up using half of it. I save the left over spread for the next time I want to quickly make garlic bread. I've made this bread several times and it's always a big hit. Thanks for the great recipe!

My whole family absolutely loves this garilic spread! I used it on Italian, French, Sourdough, plain white bread, whole wheat bread, English muffins, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was wonderful on all of it. The first time I made it I made it to go with the Lots O Meat Lasagna (wonderful too.I recommend everyone to try it. It is a very simple recipe and can easliy be adjusted or multiplied to make extra to keep ready in the fridge.

As one would guess, the bread can be made very easily. I made the bread as a compliment to the spaghetti I was having as the main dish. I followed the recipe very closely except I cut the butter down to only one stick and I used a French Loaf instead of Sourdough, I was very satisfied! I will definitely be making this in the future!

This bread was REALLY good and SUPER EASY to make... The garlic actually gets tuned down a bit when roasted and tastes great in the butter mixture. The butter/garlic ratio was excellent, one didnt over powered the other. Now if you like a little more garlic, you may want to use more, but this recipe was perfect. I made this bread with Alfredo a few weeks ago and i stored the rest of the garlic butter mixture in the same bowl I made it in. The left over mixture is good if you have any bread left and its excellent for melting and adding to mashed potatoes or drizzling over roasted potatoes before putting in the oven! I am making this bread again tonight with Paulas Cheeseburger meatloaf. I used french bread last time, this time I'm using cuban bread at my boyfriends request! My recipe box is FILLED with Paula Recipes!

My husband really loves this garlic bread. It's easy and I also kept the left over in the frig and just apply however much I want, it just needs to set out a little bit to be easier to spread. I used mini french bread loaves. This is our favorite garlic bread recipe!! Thanks Paula!
