yummm! instead of rolling them I used powdered sugar, and next time I make them, I might put a little peanut butter in it, just to have a little hint of it. although it was really good, I recommend using a good quality dip chocolate, but I just used chocolate chips, and it was a little grainy, and after a few days they got a little dry.. but still really good!

This is truly a good recipe that could be GREAT by making one important change that eliminates the stickiness and the step of having to flour your hands. Just increase all of the ingredients by a half - except for the sweetened condensed milk. By adding more flour, butter, etc., to the can of sweetened condensed milk, the batter will now be more like the consistency of regular cookie dough, and very easy to roll. Note: I also do leave the amount of nuts at 1 cup and add 3/4 cup Heath Toffee Chips.

These are delicious and if you taste the batter before you chill and roll it, you WILL think something is wrong but GIVE IT TIME! The flour needs time to absorb the wet ingredients....Here is a few tips I have found while using this recipe...
1 If you do not use nuts, it is good to compensate with something else like more chocolate chips...it helps with the thickness of the dough.
2 You do not have to put the batter in the fridge overnight like some suggested to get the balls to roll easy, just put the batter in the freezer for around 20-30 minutes then scoop them and roll
3 If it is a little sticky, don't use flour to roll the balls, use powdered sugar and just put a little on your hands before rolling
3 After melting down the chocolate, LET IT COOL before rolling...this will help with the melting cookie dough problem...and while it is cooling, leave your ready balls in the freezer to keep them cold

Wow - pretty cool! When I first tasted the batter after mixing I wasn't feeling too good about how the end result would be, but after chilling, dipping in the melted chocolate and chilling again, YUM! I didn't use the nuts, and I barely used any flour to make the balls.

These are the BEST...and even better covered in white chocolate. Such a tremendous hit at the office cookie exchange.

These just did not have the guilty taste of eating cookie dough. They were not very sweet. Using chocolate bark (found some at Kroger in Atlantaadded a little more of a sweet taste but not enough to make this tasty. If you do make these, I saw a better method of dealing with the dough. Instead of putting flour on your fingers to handle the dough, refigerate it for about an hour then use an fruit scooper to make the balls. They will come out rounder.

I tried these months ago with a slimy silly-putty type result (but excellent flavor! After reading everyone's reviews, my kids & I opted to add 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers - dough had a perfect "play-do" consistency and didn't even need refrigeration before rolling or dipping. This way we weren't stuck with remaining sweetened condensed milk (from using less of the can or funky flour-tasting dough (from extra flour. I'll bet a similar result could be achieved using crushed saltines or Club crackers if someone's looking for a less-sweet batch.

i have grown up as a little girl loving chocolate and loving raw cookie dough. i would go to make cookies and never have enough batter left to make enough cookies. Now Paula has hit the jackpot and made the most awesome dessert ever! and to make it even better there is no baking involved. I make it every year for christmas and give it away to friends as a gift from us.EVERYONE loves them and looks forward to getting them every year! I watch her show all the time and have gotten many new dishes from her and has made me into a cook and baker myself! love it! thanks
