WOW! I've read through many of these comments, and I am surprised at how many folks didn't like this recipe! I've made these many times and my family and friends love them! I've never had any problems with the dough, and I personally love anything with sweetened condensed milk! It has a unique, and creamy taste and makes all kinds of desserts even yummier!!! As for how sweet these little treats are, well, my philosophy is: that's a great way to indulge your sweet tooth without going overboard and eating too many!
I have a hint for keeping chocolate melted while you're dipping. I put a heating pad on the counter and set the bowl of melted chocolate on it. I keep the heating pad on medium heat, and it keeps the chocolate melted as long as needed!

You will not go wrong with this recipe. I've been making these for a little over a year and I have to say people always ask me to make them because they are so irresistible. A friend of mine asked me for this recipe for a contest at work and they won best chocolate dessert. Absolutely delicious!!!

I have made these numerous times and everybody loves them. I use a small ice cream scoop to place the dough on a parchment paper covered sheet prior to putting them in the refrigerator. I also use the Wilton's melting chocolate to coat them with. I have never had a problem or a complaint.

I was hopeful these would be the hit on our fondue buffet. Not so. I made them as instructed but omitted the coating so people could dip their own in the fondue. They just didnt taste like regular cookie dough, we were very dissapointed.

I had never made truffles before, but I found this recipe very easy to make, and everyone loved them. Be sure to put them in the refrigerator before and after rolling them out. I also found they got better as they aged.

This was my first truffle recipe that I have ever made and it easily outshines any store bought truffle I have ever had. It made a ton! I couldnt really get my truffles to be perfect circles even though I refgridgerated them. Also, I only melted like half of the chocolate at a time because I didnt have a double broiler. This helped because the longer teh chocolate is in the saucepan, the more difficult it is to work with.

I made these for some of my friends as Christmas gifts this year since I was low on cash and every single person asked for the recipe! These were a huge hit.

These are my family's and friend's new favorite holiday treat for the past two years. I am a foody who has lived in some of the greatest food cities in the US,San Francisco and NYC, so it makes me a difficult person to please. Make sure that you cream the butter to avoid a "flour" or "grainy" taste (Blend room temp butter and the sugar in a kitchen aid mixer or beaters for about 5 mins. I also eliminated the chocolate chips and added more pecans in order to make it a more refined less sweet taste.

These truffles in my opinion tasted awful! I know they are no bake, but i dont believe sweetend condenced milk should ever have gone into the recipe. It has a flavor that you dont want to eat raw! If you were to make a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe without the leveners and eggs, roll it up and dip into chocolate they would taste 10 times better than these cookie dough truffles. I made them exactly as instructed and threw the whole batch away as soon as I tried the first one. I love Paula Deen but this recipe was a waste of money and my time!
