    Least Favorite Chicken Salad ever

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
I am a HUGE FAN of Paula Deen and I love pretty much every recipe I've made of hers, but this chicken salad was not tasty to... me at all. I followed the recipe to the "T" and I just did not think that the flavors went well together. The basil was extremely over-powering and I just really did not enjoy this recipe. However, I am still a HUGE FAN and will always continue to be. Can't wait to try something else. Read more

    This is DELICIOUS!!!!

This is a wonderful chicken salad. Great for a hot summer evening. And the ingredients work so well together!! And as for... the comment from "wanted to like it": So what if she used an ice cream scoop. It didn't change the taste nor the texture of the salad. As a matter of fact it's a much cleaner way to serve it rather than with a spoon, which to me is not classy. And Paula has a lot of class that is why she is one of the top cooking shows on Food Network. Are you?????Read more

    Wonderful

This is a definate "keeper" recipe; my new favorite chicken salad. I made two slight modifications: I added 4 teaspoons of... lemon juice and I toasted the almonds. The balance between basil and lemon was right on and the almond background flavor was enhanced.Read more

Thanks Paula for a great recipe. I make sweet/salty chicken salads w/grape, etc...I make a southwestern chicken salad with... jalapenos, southwestern mayo, etc.....and this adds a 3rd chicken salad to my recipe list!! Just like others, I added a little more lemon juice and I also added salt. Delish!Read more

    Amazing and Easy Chicken Salad

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This was wonderful... it was devoured quickly with no leftovers! I did add a bit of chopped green onion, which worked well. ... Next time I may dial back a bit on the mayo/sour cream, but not the basil or lemon juice. Love it!Read more
