my family doesn't eat left overs period. but they loved this so much that they wanted to eat it rather than the new entree i had cooked the next day.

We really liked this unique recipe. However I caution anyone trying it that you must love collard greens bec the taste is very prominent, particularly overnight. We started this dish in a pot (i.e. browning everything and getting them slightly tender, and then transferred it to a crockpot to finish cooking to desired tenderness. Everything worked out very nicely.

I was skeptical looking at the ingredients, but since I love Paula's recipes and it was rated so high, I gave it a try. It was good, nothing like I've ever eaten, but I don't think it was good enough to be considered a 5 star recipe that so many rated. It was just okay.

I am a northerner and "greens" are not readily available (assuming we'd want them. Also, I am a shortcut and easy way cook. I put everything in a crockpot including the onions but eliminating the greens and bacon. It was wonderful and is one of our family favorites.

My mother accidentally called it African slop, which might make sense too, since it's all slopped over rice. Delicious!

I've been a commerical cook for 20 years, and am not in the habit of writing reviews like this. But ~ this recipe is a total winner. I only made minimal changes - browned the beef, and added Tamari sauce after the browning process. Onc again, Paula Deen scores! I am a total fan of the Lady! Her recipes are 'real' in an age of 'art fart food' and sometimes silly overdone presentations. Here's to Paula, keep it up, and CHANGE NOTHING ABOUT YOUR SHOWS OR YOURSELF. Don't mess with perfection!

This dish was an unusual but tempting one. Because I love chops and greens, I wanted to try this. I was not sure about the peanut butter, but if was a delightful addition. My friends and family were fond of this meal.

This was absolutely great. I was a little put off by the cooking and simmering times...but, while the first part was simmering, you put the second part together in no time. WOW! It was worth it...and there really was nothing to it. I've made a lot of Paula's dishes...this one moved right to the top of the list. Flavorful and satisfying!

This is such a flavorful recipe! Easy to make and would be good for in the crockpot, too. My husband couldn't tell what the "secret ingredient" was and when I told him it was peanut butter he was shocked! Excellent recipe! I love Paula's show and watch her every day and have used several of her recipes...all with delicious results. Keep 'em comin', Paula!! From my kitchen to yers....have a great day. :
