I was thrilled to finally find a recipe for sweet potatoes that did not include marshmallows and still looks and tastes great on the Thanksgiving table.

I have been torturing myself for years on Thanksgiving, being forced to put marshmallows on the sweet potatoes for my husband and children. I was so relieved to find a recipe that everyone loved including myself.

I was looking for something quick because the burners were pretty much in use most of the time fixing Thanksgiving dinner yesterday for the family and many other things to get ready. This was so quick and I had many compliments and a couple of daughters asked for the recipe to use on Thursday for their other family dinners. Thanks for having it on line. I just did a search for Sweet Potatoes and got this one. Thanks again.

I thought the potatoes themselves were yummy. My husband thought they were TOO sweet. Personally, I could probaby do without the pecans. I found myself knocking them off onto my plate. Also, I think if you had the time, using your own sweet potatoes would be better. However, using the rounds was a HUGE time saver and they didn't taste THAT bad.

This recpie jazzes up those little sweet potato patties. For my family I cut the recipe in 1/2 then made them again on a different day. My children thought that they were dessert. It reminded me of Thanksgiving without all the work of a sweet potato casserole.
