Recipe too time consuming for something as simple as apple crisp. Too much lemon taste for me also. Baked in oven and took at least 1 hr to cook.

There was a little too much lemon flavor for my taste, but even with that, it was still delicious. Time-consuming, but easy to prepare.

This apple crisp was great, ESPECIALLY hot with vanilla ice cream...I made it without the campfire and it worked just as well in the oven!

The lemon added to the apple crisp gave it a great taste with a twist. My whole family and co workers loved it.

This is a very easy recipe. I recommend it highly. The flavor is quite different from that of other apple crisps that I have prepared. The lemon zest is very strong, so definitely use Granny Smith apples. My family enjoyed it (only lasted one meal and for snack later that night. I also prepared it for a family member that had just returned home from the hospital and she called the same night to say that her family loved it also. I hope you do try this recipe and enjoy.

My mom made this tonight, and I just finished eating it. We had ours with vanilla ice cream, and it was so amazing!!! My mom actually used raspberries instead of raisens, and it turned out really well. I bet it's just as good with the raisens, though! WE LOVE PAULA!
