oh my, is this delicious. i used the croissants, followed the easy directions and the results were spectacular. topped with whipped cream and served to a group of six friends, it was absolutely loved. i found it a little sweet, and i'm not sure how to reduce that. but it's a wonderful dessert and makes a nice presentation when the bananas are poured over the top. i made the croissants the day before due to time restraints and made it more of a custard, then chilled it overnight, so that there was a nice contrast to the warm banana topping. yum!

Absolutely wonderful! I could have melted when I took the first bite! Made it with texas toast instead of croissants and it was gobbled up and gone within minutes! VERY VERY sweet so little portions are plenty, the recipe goes a long way. THANKS PAULA

All I can say is "oh my goodness, this is fabulous!!" Ok, I have just a little more to say :- While I think it would be fabulous with croissants I used Texas Toast, I wanted it to be a little more filling. Also, I used less cream and lots more eggs. I used about 1 egg per piece of bread. For a whole loaf of Texas Toast I doubled the Sauce and I made fresh whipped cream to top it.

    FABULOUS!!

WOW!!! It is this type of recipe that will be the death of me. There is no better way to go than from rich Italian food and Paula's comfort foods.

This was great. I would add less nuts but either way was great.

This was a welcome change from regular french toast. The syrup does get sticky as it cools.

Really delicious. excluded some of the ingredients but still turned out delicious. I let them sit out a bit and then put the bananas and syrup on and it was just at the right temperature. Definitely have to make again! I recommend it to anyone who loves french toast.
