Okay, I just finished making the pancakes as in let me wipe the syrup off the side of my mouth. Can I just say that these were super yummy! I made just the pancakes and not the cream because my family is a butter and syrup kind of crowd. My front door is like a revolving door - I never know who's coming over so I tripled the recipe without any problems. The only thing I did different were to add the chocolate chips after I poured the batter into the pan. I loved the light texture of the pancakes without it being airy and tasteless. I also loved that the ingredients are what I normally have - no special shopping trips needed!

This was my first and now my only chocolate chip pancake recipe. These are delicious and the cinnamon whip cream is a perfect topping. Nothing else is needed. My kiddos request these for birthday breakfast.

So delicious! My family loves them. I've made them with and without the chips and they are great no matter how I did it. The only thing I changed was when I make them with choco chips I put the chips in as I cook them. Good job Paula!

Great recipe. I just used the basic pancake recipe without chocolate chips or the cream and they turned out perfect and fluffy. I love this recipe because it consists of simple ingredients that I always have at home.

I LOVED this recipe! I needed a pancake recipe and I thought "who could make some tasty pancakes? Paula Deen!" I didn't have chocolate chips or whipping cream for the topping so I made them plain just adding cinnamon and vanilla. They came out so light and fluffy.......yum yum yum. No more boxed mix for me!

This is the recipe to go to for fluffy pancakes. The sugar amount is just right. Other recipes lack sweetness. I followed the recipe but I also added 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla to give it a nice touch of extra flavor. In addition to the chocolate chip pancake mix I made blueberry pancakes using fresh berries sans the chocolate chips. You can substitute the chocolate chips with any other flavor chips or berries or just leave it plain and the mix will still be great. This recipe without any fillings makes a great classic pancake and after tasting you'll never buy a boxed mix again. They make a great breakfast along with a nice cup of coffee. Try it and you'll be delighted. Thumbs up for Paula!
