This Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread is WONDERFUL!!! Our entire family loves it, and it is my 7 yr old daughter's favorite treat!! Nice to sneak in a little vegetable!! I did use little orange juice instead of orange zest because that is what I had on hand. I also took out pecans for me and my daughter, but added them in the loaf for my husband!! Another GREAT recipe from one of our favorites Paula Deen!

This recipe came out great! I didn't have any nuts, so I put in a little extra chocolate chips, I used lemon zest instead of orange (because I didn't have any oranges, and I honestly didn't measure the zucchini- I just used 2- It looked a little more than 2 cups. It took 60 minutes to bake, instead of 50, but it may have been because of the extra zucchini. It came out really well- very moist on the inside and a nice crisp on the . I will definately make this again!

I did not like this recipe. I made this one and Paula's recipe for zucchini bread. The other was so much better. I did not like the orange flavor in it at all. Not very good at all. We ended up tossing one loaf.
If you want to make a really good bread follow Paula's other recipe and and the chocolate chips.

Since i have so much zucchini in my garden I was looking for some different recipes. I always make a pinneapple zucchini bread. Tried this one and loved it. not too sweet. Cut bread and wrapped 2 pieces each in plastic wrap then place in gallon freezer bag. Take it out of freezer and throw it in husbands lunch. I did not add the orange zest. Made a cranberry bread with orange zest it was terrible.

This recipe is a much better version than your standard zucchini bread. The orange zest is a must and goes so well with the chocolate chips. I made 1 loaf and 12 muffins, which I baked for around 20-25 minutes and they turned out great.

I have been baking Paula Deen's Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread for several years; it is a favorite in my house. Yes, a little rich, but there is no denying the flavor. The recipe produces 2 loaves, I usually give one away or freeze it. Gift Idea: during the zucchini season, if you need an edible gift, this is the one! Never had a complaint yet!
