Four Stars for this decadent casserole. I made this today for my mom---it was a huge hit!! It is very rich and a special occasion dish for when you are not counting carbs or fat. Give it a try when you are in the mood for a one dish extravaganza!!

delicious recipe. I made this up the day before so the eggs could absorb the bread. It was great to be able to do that and just pop in the oven next day. Followed recipe exactly. Great dish Paula!!!! My family loved it.

WONDERFUL!!!! My staff cleared 4 dishes. I made one as is, second with turkey sausage, third with salmon, and the fourth with spinach. They loved it!

Just one hint, I used potato bread stuffing cubes.(Martins has it already cubed and baged for you Saved time and money on the bread.

Yummy!!! The second time I made it I did make more egg mixture because the bread was dry when I made it the first time or cut back on the amount of bread. I agree there is a bit too much mustard. Also I layered 1/2 the sausage between the potato and bread layer the rest on top of the bread layer. Turkey sausage works great as well. Try different cheeses to change it up, Jalepeno cheddar, smoked gouda, Italian Fontina. I have also made it with morningstar spicy blackbean patties instead of sausage for vegetarians and served with spicy salsa to top it with. I have made this 12 times or so and it is always a hit.

Great recipe I use every year for my new years day brunch. I make as directed, but substitute with vegetarian Morningstar Farms Breakfast Sausage Patties. Nobody knows its vegetarian until I mention it !
