Thank you Jamie and Paula for this recipe. I entered it in a chili contest with a few tweaks and won 2nd place! It will be my go to chili now.

WOW!! This was really good! I wasn't Sure about the sausage when I saw the recipe, but decided to try it. We prefer to eat healthy when possible, so I did use 95% lean beef and a reduced fat sausage, but it really didn't effect the taste at all! It was fabulous (and healthier! I also admitted the celery (we didn't have any and cut back on the beans since my kids and husband are not bean lovers (I used 2 cans of Great Northern beans The gravy that this makes is really good! Like another reviewer, I cooked it in the crock pot after browning the beef/sausage and onions (call me lazy!. Highly reccommend this and WILL be making it again!

This recipe has become MY chili. I have had at least a hundred heartfelt compliments on it. I never really had a true chili recipe before, but this beats any of my previous results. Love the addition of sausage and the cumin.... Entire family favorite...

The chili is good but for a Texas Chili it is too gourmet. This is not really a trus Texas Chili. It is good but not for the real Texas Chili.

I Made A Few Changes And Additions And It Turned Out AWESOME!!! My First Time Making Chili And EVERYONE (EVEN My Kids Who Are The PICKIEST Eaters!!! LOVED IT!!!!!

I Took Out The Sausage. Doubled The Rest Of The Ingredients. Along With The Chili Powder And Cumin I Added Brown Sugar. EVERY TIME I Added An Ingredient Into The Pot I Poured More Of All 3 (To Taste In And Stirred.

Then BEFORE Simmering For 4 Hours, I Cut It Into 2 Pots 3/4 In One And The Remaining In Another. I Cut Up 2 Habanero And 6 Jalapeno Peppers And Added Them Into The Smaller Batch.

The SPICY Chili Was GONE, And MILD Only Had One Maybe 2 Servings Left!!! What Made It EVEN BETTER Was That The Night I Served It We Were Camping And It Was Cold And Rainy!! PERFECT DINNER FOR SUCH A NIGHT!!! THANKS!!!!
