We substituted Chicken Sausage for the ground beef and sausage and it was excellent!! Even better the next day.

This is a great recipe. My husband does not like black beans so we put in pinto beans. This recipe makes a lot and has a great taste, especially on top of Fritoes.

I have made the same chili for years, but Jamie's looked good and the ingredients sounded great. It was a hit, my husband of 38 years said this was 'a keeper'. The thing I like is that you can add or delete based on your taste, (don't leave out the sausage it really adds to the flavor but the overall taste is still rich and spicy with a thick texture. Instead of the celery I added yellow bell pepper and some paprika to the spices. Yummy.

My family and I liked this chilli. It had just enough bite to it. I added some red pepper flakes for a little more heat. But it was wonderful and definitely i agree the cooking time of 4 hours really made it good!
Jamie u should have won the cookoff!!!!

My family went crazy over this chili! My sister-in-law does not even like chili, but tried this recipe and loves it! I love the combination of the 3 different beans, tomatoes and the simmering time brings it all together!! Then the corn chips, cheese and sour cream just make it even better! I will be making this dish many more times!!

The dish was grade, but the recipe was vague. I wasn't sure if it required 1 lb each beef & sausage or should it been 1 lb of meet total.
