Made this for a "chili night" at church--four other people also made chili--mine was the first one gone! Everyone loved it, and I have a pot cooking right now for tonight's dinner! Easy recipe, but I made just a few "tweaks"--no celery (didn't sound good for chili, and extra meat, 'cause we like meaty chili. Thanks Jamie--great recipe.

A friend made this for a hay-ride last fall, and I fell in love with it. It is more than spicy enough for the meekest in our family, and can be spiced up for the wildest ones.

Made this chili last night & everyone really enjoyed it. I'd definitely make it again. I changed a few things after reading other reviews. I used 1lb. of ground beef & 1lb. of sweet sausage that I took out of the casing. I also used 2 packages of the chili mix...1 regular & 1 hot. I didn't need to add any more chili powder or cumin. Looking forward to leftovers tonight!

Loved this easy and tasty recipe! one thing I noticed however is it doesnt say when to add the tomato paste. I added with all the beans. Paula Deen you are the greatest!

I love this recipe and make it all the time. I always use ground turkey or chicken instead of the beef/sausage and it turns out amazing. I double the recipe and increase the cooking time - delicious chili every time.

This recipe was good but nothing special. It wasn't soupy for us but I did add an extra 1/2 lb of meat. Don't know if I would make it again.

My husband loved it! I followed recipe exactly. We saw suggestions about cumin and chili powder so we kept that in mind. We added alot of each....more chili powder than cumin. We probably used half the bottle. It was so tasty! We froze the left overs and made for the in laws while they were visiting. We had to add a can of tomato sauce and a can of water so it wasn't as thick but it reheated very well. We plan to make it again for New Years day.

This recipe is amazing..... however, i took some peoples advice and used 1 lb of hot sausage and 1 lb of ground beef.... which in turn, didnt leave much "soupyness" to the chili.... literally, as I added the meat, there was no juice, i ended up having to add a few cups of tomato juice (i didnt know what else to get, i thought puree would be too thick but it tasted amazing, especially with the chili seasoning packet, all the flavors just merried together wonderfully....

Very good, but changed this one a bit for my own tastes. I added one can of Beef Broth, and 1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper, and used 1 lb of Beef, 1 lb of Sweet Italian Sausage, and 1 lb of Ground Pork.
