This was awful! I love pina coladas so I was really excited for it and I went out specifically to get all the ingredients to make it, and it just tasted like weird coconut paste with a pineapple twist.

    Frozen banana makes this amazing.

This has the potential to be a good smoothie, but the way it is it is just too watery. The only thing I tasted was a watery coconut flavor. I would suggest adding yogurt or vanilla ice cream to this recipe. I was looking for that Virgin Pina Colada taste, but this was not it

It was ok, don't care for bananas in smoothies but tried it anyway. Overall, just ok..

I LOVED THIS! It's a great smoothie but here are some tips. Don't use the pinapple them selfs, use the juice. the honey is great in this and I would have this any day of the week. I made this once and every one of my friends wanted more! It was great! But you may have a different oppinion

I too, went out to get ingredients & try this smoothie, knowing I don't prefer bananas, But, I don't think I'll waste the pineapple or coconut juice & I'll just use my plain yogurt. Thanks to all for honest reviews & I hope Paula will take notice.

    Leave out the honey
Add 1/2 oz of coconut coffee syrup or liqueur
brings out the targeted pina colada flavor.

I had such high hopes for this smoothie, but the banana was way too overpowering, the pineapple flavor just got lost and the honey did absolutely nothing. This would be an "ok" banana smoothie, but it is far from being a "Pina Colada" smoothie. TO be one, it would need so much more pineapple and coconut ... but even at that, something seems to be missing. I will make it again when I want a not-to-sweet banana smoothie...but will I really?

my expectation was that this would taste like a virgin pina colada. it tasted nothing like that. i am a very open minded person when it comes to food and trying new things but let me tell you how disappointed i am. i even read the previous reviews and decided to still make it. i was stupid for not listening. this recipe is terrible tasting. so not worth the money i spent on the ingredients. i cannot believe paula would recomend this. seems to me the best smoothie you can make is a classic strawberries, vanilla yogurt, and ice. sorry to be so negative.
