This sounds great but why would you leave the tails on the shrimp since they are going into a sandwich? I leave them on for cocktail shrimp or would if I were just having fried shrimp on a platter, but not in a sandwich. A child could choke on them. ??

I made these Fried Shrimp Po Boys for dinner tonight, and they were absolutly awesome!!! I changed nothing in the recipe, and must say I will keep the home made fry mix on hand at all times. Foe a little added flavor in the Paula Deen style, I buttered the hoagie rolls and toasted them in a skillet, YUM YUM!!

This is one of the best sandwiches ever. I did cut down on the amount of hot sauce (I cut it from 1/2 cup to a 1/4 cup. It was just enough heat. My children and my husband loved these and as they were finishing up their last bites were asking when we were going to have these again.

Okay...so I didn't make the po' boy but I did make the shrimp with this recipe..

All I can say is AWSOME!!!! It was funny.. when my husband tasted the shrimp he asked if there was butter in the batter. I laughed and said no but Paula sure knows how to get that buttery taste out of EVERYTHING.
