Saw this on one of Paula's shows and had to make it. So glad I did because everyone raved about it! Absolutely delicious and I can't wait to make it again:

I made these for our 4th of july celebration - what a hit! I did cook them in a crock pot and had it on all day. My son put it on hot dogs and burgers! The flavor was great!

my husband & I love pretty much enjoy all of the "food network shows", and enjoy trying most of the recipes. The Sue and Gloria's Baked Beans in our opinion, is for the familys that still love the "sweet & sugar taste" in a dish. This was really a dissapointment for us!! Had to throw away the whole dish. As expensive as food is today, this was a waste of money. Should have known by the ingres that were in the recipe. Sorry, Paula, we love alot of your food, but this was a big let down!! We know that this was not your recipe, but maybe in the future, FN could say "Sweet, Sour, Just Right, etc. just a suggestion.

I made this recipe for our 4th of July party yesterday. What a success. I, like others saw Paula's show and was wondering was it a slip up on the show by saying pork and beans or was the recipe wrong. I followed the recipe online. My family and I agree the beans were sweet but wonderful. Everyone went back for seconds. I will try them next time with the pork and beans and decide which ones I think are better. However this is a recipe I will be making multiple times in the future.

There are delicious!! I made them today for our 4th of July cookout. I followed the receipe exactly except because I don't like my baked beans overly sweet I used 5 (15 oz cans of pork and beans and added 1/4 cup hot sauce. They were amazing. Everybody raved!!!

HAPPY 4TH FROM THE GREAT STATE OF IDAHO TO ALL MY FELLOW (in GOD we TRUST AMERICANS!!! Wow, is the only word I can use for these beans. I was so tired of the same Baked beans recipe that I decided to give these a try for our picnic under the stars tonight as we wait for the fireworks. I haven't even baked them yet and the taste is so wonderful I might never make regular baked beans again. I did make a couple of changes. When I saw the show I thought Paula used pork-n-beans not baked beans as the recipe states which I'm glad I paid attention to the show because I think already sweetened beans like canned baked beans would be way too sweet. I drained all but one of my cans of beans because that's how I make my mom's baked beans so they don't come out too runny. I skimped just a bit with the molasses not because I thought Paula was wrong but my family isn't too adventurous and it's such a strong flavor I was a little hesitant. I added about 3/4cup of molasses and 3/4cup of the barbeque sauce which I used hickory style cheap generic brand (and it still tastes unbelievable. I used brown spicy mustard, also the cheap generic brand. I cooked my bacon in the microwave which really seems to crisp it up better than the stove. AND THE ONE THING I DID WHICH WAS A DISH AND TIME SAVER WAS I MIXED IT ALL IN THE 9X13 PAN. IT KEEPS THE BEANS FROM GETTING TOO BEAT UP AND SMASHED AND LESS CLEAN UP!!! I can't wait to cook them for tonight and unless something changes from the pre-baked version I am sure my family will enjoy every bite!! THANKS Sue and Gloria and THANK YOU PAULA FOR SHARING IT WITH ALL OF US.

I made this last night and everyone in my family loved it! Even my ultra-pciky husband. I would definitely make this recipe again. The only thing I did that deviated from the recipe was to drain the beans. I am glad I did because I think it would have been to runny if I didn't. I am even going to try making it with shredded pork, chicken, or beef instead of the beans. The taste of the sauce is faulous!!!

Every time we have a gathering I am requested to make these beans. They are super easy to mix and taste fantastic. I mix them before we go on our boat and then just cook them on the grill.

These beans are a delightful treat and were big hit at the faculty year-end picnic! After reading the "sweet" reviews, I simply used (2 41 oz cans of beans or the equivalent of 5 cans of beans, but stayed true to the rest of the recipe. They were not too sweet and gave me the few extra servings I needed. So simple to make and it cooked very well in the crock pot.
Thanks again, Paula for a read crowd-pleaser. I've sent out the link to dozens of people. Keep them comin'
