If you are interested in using the doughnuts as a bun, I suggest that you try a sausage patty instead of the beef hamburger patty. I personally can't have a burger without ketchup, but there is no way I would eat ketchup with doughnuts (gross!... so I tried a sausage patty instead and it's really good! I also put some maple syrup on it as well and that was really good! Totally bad for my heart, but it was a great meal! :

For everyone who is griping about Paula's recipes and whether or not, this is a open forum or whatever. I suggest you read at the top of the page. RECIPE REVIEW. Give your review and then go.. For the people who say that FN is being irresponsible for letting Paula make this recipe, What are you people 4 years old? We are all GROWN PEOPLE who make our own choices. Its just like the people who sue Mcdonalds for making them fat. Get real. I made it for a treat for my Mom .
She loved it. I certainly wouldnt make it an everyday thing. People need to start making their own decisons and then take the consquences instead of finding someone to blame .

This is an open forum for reviews and opinions. However, comments especially rude ones made by those hiding behind"anonymous" should not even be considered. If someone wants to make and eat this disgusting thing, that's their choice. But hopefully, most of the food network fans have more common sense than that.

Hats off to the evil genius that came up with this preposterously nauseating concoction. It is truly, breathtakingly repellent. I have one question though; why not go for broke and also deep fry the whole hideous mass. Just a thought. In any event, thanks again for the laugh.

A half pound burger, a fried egg, 2 strips of bacon, all sanwiched between 2 glazed donughts? Why not go all out and add a slice or two of cheese and use chocolate covered doughnuts?

Anyone who has watched Paula knows that she seldom makes anything low cal/nutritious. I don't think it's fair to knock her recipes for this reason alone. Of course you wouldn't want to eat like Paula cooks all the time, but once in a while won't hurt. Watch Ellie if you're looking for healthy.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion and I agree-"if you don't like it, don't make it". BUT, you have to draw the line when producers are allowing anything to be thrown together just to make a show. The other recipes were very basic so I guess we needed some sort of over endulgent POP. That said the only way paula and her producers are going to know how viewers feel is to leave your comments. Unfortunately many of the FN stars that have been on for many years are losing their edge and are having to resort to something!

Just my two cents worth, but is Brunch not a combination word made up of Breakfast and Lunch? The meal is a combination of both as well. I have seen this very combination of foods on a Brunch Buffet. Don't tell me that you have never on occasion had a couple of donuts for breakfast and then later in the day enjoyed burger for lunch? What's the difference in the Health Values? It's all ends up the same place. Don't criticize Paula for suggesting putting them together as one.
