best recipe I've found so far for deep fried veggies & the dipping sauce is so tangy & the perfect sauce for the asparagus! my husband isn't a big fan of a strong lemon flavoring but with this, he loves it! absolutely perfect recipe!

OMGosh delicious! Over the top WONDERFUL! I am a self-rated great cook ~ as far as what I have available to me (and $ wise to use in this small town of Alamogordo, New Mexico, but fresh asparagus was available and cost appropriate so I bought it. Then I searched for asparagus recipes and after 3 pages LOL this one came up and it's TOP NOTCH wonderful !!! Move it up on the list !!! If anyone wants to come to Alamogordo and take me to where I can learn to cook better, come get me LOL

We love this recipe ~ I serve it constantly as an appetizer... I have found if you trim, then pat dry your asparagus and then let it rest on the counter for a couple of hours the batter will not come off during frying... I also dust them with flour before dipping in the batter... I no longer have batter that comes off... The sauce is excellent!

Excellent. After frying the asparagus, we also fried broccoli and anything else we could get our hands on.

This recipe is SO tasty! I wouldn't change a thing -- the batter is fabulous, and the dipping sauce is perfect. The only thing I find tough is getting the batter to stay on the asparagus -- I find that it slides off the top while sauteeing. No big deal -- it's crispy and delicious!

I have made this recipe several times, and it is always delicious and supereasy to do. I even made it for my parents once (using sparkling apple cider instead of beer, and it was just as good-it was the first thing to disappear. And I deep-fried fish in the batter too (after dredging in rice flour, which also turned out great. Love, love, love this recipe!

Asparagus, beer batter and deep frying make for one dynamite dish! You really can't go wrong with this. I didn't make the dipping sauce...they were too good to wait for! Simple and delicious!
