this was my first time making spare ribs and i figured id give the neelys a try as they are the barbeque people on food network. i followed it exactly except i added garlic into the spice rub and instead of corn syrup in the sauce i used honey. i put the rub on for 2 days and boiled the sauce for 2.5 hours. After baking at 325 for 3 hours basting iwth the sauce i broiled them for a bout 8 minutes. These ribs were amazing! i was shocked since there wasnt any salt in the rub or sauce but it was so good. i was worried the spare ribs would be fatty but they were really meaty and good. What a great inexpensive dish!

I loved when you said that! It was obviously not in this episode but i loved when you said that. Me my Mom, Dad and Brother love ribs, so i made this for them. They fell in love with them. I love watching you because you always look so happy and your food is flled with warmth. I know this might be hard to believe that an eleven year old is saying this but i am training so i can meet you in the future!

I made this for my mom's bday. I had to change it up though cause I only had half the amount of paprika that I needed so I added some cayenne pepper to make up for it. I put half paprika in it called for and a 1/3 cayenne.

For the sauce, I did not put the rub in it cause I forgot. So, I just added the onion powder, white sugar, and brown sugar.

Deliciously tangy with an excellent spicy kick! I had everyone telling me to enter it in a spicy rib cook off. I have never made a rub or sauce before and this recipe was a hit out of the ball park. I will make again and again. So much better than store bought sauce. I had no idea sauce could be so good.

I had to cook in the oven (7 degrees in Michigan and I did not let the rub marinate but it was still the best ribs my family ever ate and ever made. Thank you!

These were absolutely fantastic. Did them on the grill, followed your instructions very closely and these will become the go to spare rib recipe.
Love the fact that these are not parboiled first, your method really preserves the flavor of the ribs, without making them bland and tasteless. Good Job! Have used some of your other recipes and am very impressed.
