We moved from Maryland to memphis and eat at least twice or more a month at thier restrauant on Mt. Moriah Rd. The Ribs, Baked beans and Potato salad are to die for. You got to eat at of of thier locations when you come to Memphis. I have tried others and nothing, I mean nothing compares to Neelys.

I made a 8lb pork butt yesterday with this paprika rub and cooked it low and slow @300deg for 6hrs. Made pulled pork sandwiches out of it with the bbq sauce. OH MY GOD! The sauce is the best my husband and I have ever had. It's like a fine wine, starts off sweet and ends with the tart as you swallow. We have been together 25yrs now and have tried plenty of sauces. This is the one! The only thing I added to the sauce was shredded onion. My husband eats onion on or in everything he eats, it also added a little texture to it. Served on onion rolls. Thanks, you guys know bbq.

This BBQ is the best. My family loves hot spices in our food so I add a habanero chili to the ingredients.....WOW! Everyone is sure to come over and eat when I make ribs, chicken and pork......

I generally do not like ribs-too much work getting the meat off the bones but this recipe was awesome and the meat fell off the bones. I did exactly as the Neely's recipe said except I cooked them inside at 250 for 2 hours. I am not going to change a thing next time. The sauce was the best I've ever had. Nothing beats Memphis Barbeque-even better than Kansas City BBQ (and I live less than an hour from Kansas City! Some advice to anyone not liking the BBQ sauce, let simmer for hours like the recipe says.

I made the rub according to the directions, but I didn't about 36 hrs before the day I was going to cook the ribs. I made the sauce today, 4th of July, because I like to get a various amount of input on whether these were good or not. The ribs where "ok" at best. That BBQ was awful. There is this mexican candy that is made from Tamarind, which I despise, and that is exactly how the sauce tasted. I thought this would be a good recipe since it is from people that allegedly make great BBQ for a living, I can't fathom on how they can make a living off of this. this is not "The Best" nor is it "AWESOME!", IT is however not very tasty. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone. Have fun eating...

I made these for the first time on the 4th of July. My family loved, loved, loved it. The sauce is fantastic and rub was awesome. I had sauce left and my daughter took it home with her.

I made these ribs 2months ago and they were awesome. I am making them again for dinner tomorrow. I use baby back ribs and love love love them. MY very favorite thing is the sauce. It is soooo good, not spicy hot just flavorful and tangy. I don't like spicy hot BBQ sauce or any other food that is hot. Love this sauce. I put my ribs in the oven and cook them long and slather the sauce on during the cooking. Thank you Neely's for this sauce.

I made these wrapped in foil and on the upper rack of my gas bbq grill and they turned out great! At first I was worried about not having the right grill, but I just cracked the hood of my grill and cooked them for 2 hours and they turned out very yummy and super tender. Also, I didn't marinade them and they still turned out perfect. Thank you Neely's!
