I made this just as it said....but i fryed butterfly porkchop with salt& pepper, then cut em up in pieces. Theres a reason why it sayd cook atleast 2 hours. When I added everything together I tasted it...omg I thought I did something wrong.....i was yuck! I bought all new stuff so I knew it was fresh. After 3 hours of slow cooking , in the subzero over night...I just had a plate...oh my word!...it is good! Its different kick for spaghetti...time comsuming...but worth it!...you love spaghetti & BQ you will love this.

Elected to try this version instead of the "newer" version shown on the Neely's show today. Wished I'd tried the other version without the corn syrup. Used cut up store Rotisserie chicken and had good flavor but was way too sweet. Will try the other version next. Look forward to more of the Neely's recipes.

We often travel to Memphis for bbq. While we will continue this tradition in our family, it is so nice to have a taste of Memphis whenever the urge strikes. This recipe is amazing. We bring it to potlucks, along with copies of the recipe as we found out people would not cease calling or emailing us requesting this delicious recipe. A big shout of thanks to all who brought this recipe into the public eye.

Time consuming, but worth it. I actually broke up cooking this in two days. I made the sauce alone first (w/o the bell pepper, onion, and pork and then the next day did the rest. I can't believe how good this really is. My kids even loved it! We made pulled pork on the 4th, so I used the meat I had leftover. The sauce is so versatile, you could put it over a baked potato for a more traditional BBQ meal or even on a bun for a "chopped pork" sandwich. The possibilities are endless. I will use it as a base for a BBQ pizza as well. ENJOY!

I had doubts as well as the folks for dinner.

It's was like Italian Meat sauce, only BBQ flavor.

Only change - each person served the BBQ Pork sauce over their own plate of spaghetti.

Next time, i think i might layer it and top with cheddar cheese.
