The recipe definitely needed a little work. First off I used semi sweet chocolate instead of unsweetened, but compensated by only using 1 cup of sugar.... I followed the rest of the chocolate recipe. Now to the peanut butter portion; I used Simply Jif and used an entire cup, along with an entire cup of powdered sugar and whipped it well incorporating each egg separately. After placing layers in pan, I sprinkled with oats and chocolate chips!!! The recipe is not a favorite, but quite easy and great for having stuff in the house.

**** Updated three days later: These came out amazing!!! We just finished the pan tonight. They came out moist and cakey. Just keep them covered tightly. I don't think the recipe is quite the same with my alterations, perhaps they made all the difference. I originally rated this recipe 2 stars but went back and edited tonight because they are so good now! P.S. My peanut butter was cakey as well was not hard or like scrabbled eggs.

These were the worst brownies i have ever tasted. The penut butter was just plain nasty, while the chocolate part was lacking. I followed the recipie to a T, but it needed something else.

These we very inedible brownies. We threw them away the night we baked them. The Chocolate part of the brownie was pretty good but the peanut butter part tasted like scrambled eggs and as my Mom said "coconut." Weird, I know. :
