I love to bake and i love chocolate so i decided to try these for my family. What a disaster. When it says 30 minutes to make add about an hour to that with waiting on stuff to cool and all. Puff pastry wasnt the greatest and the peanut butter mix was way to dry for me. I think with less gram cracker crumbs these would make great peanut butter balls. And there is like 10 times as much peanut butter mix than u actually need so i just stuck it in the fridge and might be able to do something with the rest of it. Good Luck to you all with this one!

I am not sure how anyone can say that these are not good. 1st off they are so easy and look like alot more work than they are. I do have a few comments. 1 I was in a rush and so I used the mini reese cups and they were worked great. In fact I used 2 peanut butter cups per piece. But also I do have to say that I watched the espisode of Paula doing this receipe and I think they wrote it wrong she said that she used regular muffin pans for the actual pastry and this receipe says that you use minis so I used regular size and it was perfect. But again such an easy last minute thing to bring to a party and looks alot harder than it is!!

I've made quite a few of Paula's recipes and several are in my regular dinner rotation. I'm also a major league peanut butter/chocolate fan, so when I saw this on the Food Network (8/12/09, I thought I'd go online to check the reviews prior to making the cups. If I hadn't seen the program, I would have had problems getting the finished product I wanted. First off, Paula put the filling in mini muffin liners (no muffin cups at all, and then the puff pastry squares were put into regular size muffin cups (no liners. Finally, the chilled peanut butter/chocolate "inserts" were put into the center of each puff pastry round before going into the oven. I haven't made this recipe yet (my puff pastry is still frozen and I may wait until the weekend, but I wanted to give anyone else thinking about making this recipe some pointers so they have a better chance at a good outcome.

I used the filling and rolled them into a sort of egg shape and dipped them in the chocolate. Made a good peanut butter egg for easter. Quite easy to make. One batch of filling made 3 dozen individual eggs (using 1 tbsp. of filling per egg. I never made the phylo blankets though.

It was probably me, 'cause I'm not a baker, but this turned out to be a mess! First of all, my chocolate never melted smoothly... then, everything stuck to the mini muffin pans; then, when it came time to put the chocolate/peanut centers inside the pastry, they wouldn't fit because they were originally made in the same size muffin pan; so I used a bigger muffin pan to put the pastry in and then added the chocolate/peanut centers... they turned out ok, but I won't make them again... too much trouble.

I made this for one of my 15 year old daughter's parties. Now she is going to a swim party and the kids asked her to bring these. However, this time I am putting them in the preshaped phyllo cups. The puff pastry can be a bit much.

Haven't made yet, but looks very good. The only thing that bothers me is the instructions, they are completely mixed up. The first Paragraph is at the end, and the end at the beginning right after the middle. Very confusing, but once uncoded, looks promising. Can't wait to try them!

This recipe took me longer to make than I expected. Also, the recipe says this makes 9 - However, I had enough peanut butter filling to make dozens more. It was a waste of filling ingredients - even if you use both phyllo dough sheets. These were best right out of the oven.
