    I made this for Thanksgiving today and got rave reviews from the family. It is a classic pecan pie recipe with a sassy twist...Loved it!

    I've made her pecan pie before and it is out of this world. It's my favorite go to pecan pie recipe. But what is really going to make it over the top this year is the sauce. I just made it and it is amazing! I'm thinking I'm just going to pour it over every kind of pie I ever eat. It's not overly sweet and the bourbon gives it a great small kick. It's not overly boozy, or beaten to death with the maple. Every flavor is subtle, creamy and heavenly.

    This pie is out-of-this-world!! Ree posted it on her website, thepioneerwoman.com, a little while back and I made one to donate to my daughter's school for a fundraiser. It was so good I had to come home and make another pie so there wasn't a riot. When Ree posted it, she called it 'The Pie That'll Make You Cry,' which is so true. It really is THAT good.

    I think it is wonderful of Ree Drummond to share her Pecan Pie recipe with us all just before the holidays! A big thank you from a neighbor in Kansas. I will definitely use it at least twice this year. Loved the "throwdown" episode featuring one of our middle of the country country gal cooks.
