This fudge is amazing. I put in a full teaspoon of extract instead of a 1/2 teaspoon and it was excellent!

This is the easiest, non gritty, FOOLPROOF recipe I have ever made for fudge. This is like what they have in those fudge kits you buy from eagle Brand. My family requests the peppermint fudge every year. You really cannot mess this up. If you want to make it plain, omit the peppermint and candy, and sub vanilla.

I gave this a 4 because of the incredible ease of this recipe, but taste wise, I would say a bit below that. It is VERY sweet, almost sickeningly so. I would maybe try again with darker chocolate next time, I think that would work more with the peppermint. I think the concept is sound, just needs some tweaking.
