My family and I loved these cookies. It was a little time consuming, but they were totally worth it in my opinion. I read the review before I baked them so I cut the refrigeration and freezer time down (I don't like too much crunch in my cookies ;. Instead of freezing them for 25 minutes I froze them for 5-10 min. and then after putting the top coat of chocolate on I put them in the fridge for about 10 minutes. They tasted just like a Jr. Mint with a little cookie crunch. I'll definately be using this recipe again.

I completely understand the previous review. While I haven't tried this recipe, just by looking at the finished product, I came up with a variation to the main idea of this cookie. I suggest cutting and slicing the cookie dough as recommended for the cookie dough. Don't add anything or roll the cookie dough out. Bake according to the package directions. After baking, once completely cooled, spread the filling / topping and sprinkle with decorations as desired. This way, the preparation is easier. Plus, you get twice as many decadent cookies to serve. This sounds like a win-win to me. It's easier to prepare and there's more to enjoy!!

The 12 Days of Cookies has not been good the last few years, and this takes it to a new level. This is the Food Network - have a recipe for the dough!

The finished product looks delicious, but the overall taste is touch much chocolate for me! After so much refrigeration the cookie got crunchy and it made it difficult to eat. Also, it is a lot of steps for a cookie that uses store-bought cookie dough. Not my favorite holilday cookie.
