These are delicious. They taste like a York, peppermint patty. A minty freshing chocolate filling in between two surgar cookies. Very good.

I made these for a cookie exchange with some friends. They were a little bit of work but not at all difficult. I made a double batch since I figure if I'm going to roll dough I might as well make more cookies. They were so good and worth the effort. My friends even asked for the recipe.

Giada is great - you can find more extensive from-scratch recipes that are wonderful and delicious when that is what you are seeking. Similarly, she has offered here a recipe that might appeal to those with a time crunch or who prefer simplicity. Either way, you know that you have something delicious coming when you follow her recipes. The great thing about cooking is how personal we can make a dish - little changes and ideas that we embellish in a meal that makes it our own. I loved this recipe for the delicious taste and flavor combination. Definitely a repeat at our house. And Merry Christmas to Giada for coming up with another successful recipe. Kudos!

These taste great and look even greater. Only issue is when topping the cookies, I topped them with crushed mint candies (those red-and-white "starlight" mints - they looked great but it was a bit much to bite into chunks of those. Next time I'll either crush them REALLY fine, or I'll top with colored sugar or sprinkles or something else instead.

These cookies were great. I used my own cookie recipe and like them better than the store bought cookies. I have had many requests to make them again. They have just the right amount of peppermint. They weren't hard but just a little time consuming. Luckily, we had a couple of days off from work due to the snow and I was able to get them done over a day.

This cookie is fabulous. It surpisingly wasn't that hard. I did substitute store bought dough for homemade sugar cookies and double the chocolate portion of the recipe to make 24 sandwiches. These cookies will be made every year!

Every year when the kids and I are looking for the best Santa cookie recipe, I always search for cooking with chocolate, mint, and crushed candy cane as I feel they are festive and love the taste during the holiday season. This year, when invited to a cookie party, I found myself just googling holiday cookie recipes and came across the 12 days of cookies 2008. I saw the recipe had the chocolate, and the mint AND the crushed candies and thought perfect! I thought it would be easier to prepare since it calls for premade cookie dough. It wasn't difficult, but it was still time consuming as it requires you to use the freezer and refrigerator for periods of time - so plan ahead! These cookies are delicious and I look forward to making them annually! I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out perfect (all 5 dozen of them!

we can't all make the time to make everything from scratch but remember she does state that you can make your own dough. She is also a busy mom and I am sure she has many short cuts even if she is a wonderful chef. These cookies were fun for me & my 5

Using pre made cookie dough is sub standard for Giada's recipe...just go and buy store bought cookies if you want that quality......

These cookies are so easy, and I have to say the best cookie/sandwhich I've ever had. They are so pretty aswell. I doubled the batch, and I would reccomend doubling everything except the filling because I had alot leftover. 5 stars:
