Philly Cheese Steak Deluxe
- One 2 1/2-pound top round beef roast
- Granulated chicken base, for marinating
- 2 ounces sliced onions
- 2 ounces sliced green peppers
- 4 slices American cheese
- One 8-inch hero bun
Rub the meat all over with some chicken base and put it into a large container. Cover and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Put the beef into a large roasting pan and roast it until rare, about 2 1/2 hours. Remove the roast to a cutting board and let cool before thinly slicing.
Put the grilled meat, cheese, onions and peppers on the hero bun and serve.
