Unfortunately I didnt make any of this recipe ahead so really time consuming. From scratch it took me almost 2 hours and I used jar marinara sauce.

The crepe recipe was good but I wouldn't use it for manicotti again. Crepes are too soft and not a contrast to the filling. I didn't quite understand the purpose of the bechamel sauce but made that too adding it to the mix and top and bottom of caserrole dish.

So if I make this manicotti recipe again I'd use regualr pasta of some sort, I'd use my own mix as no recipe really needed for the ricotta blend and skip the Bechamel. I'd also perfer Mozzella cheese in with it.

Guess by time I'm done next time, it wouldn't be Anne's recipe but mine. Concept is good but like others said too much work for a recipe that doesnt have to be. Im keeping the recipe for the Crepes in my recipe box but deleting the total Manicotti one.

I really like Anne, but this one I won't make again. Alot of work for one dish and it isn't spectacular. I made the tomato sauce the day before and it still took and hour and a half to put together. I wish she wouldn't have gotten chopped last night! JDRF is doing some great things and 50 grand would have been a good thing.

I make most of Anne's recipes with huge success. This one was delicious but oh so time consuming even though I made the marinara sauce the day before. When all was said and done, I had a lot of filling leftover - about half the amount I made. I had the feeling it was too much filling before I even started to assemble the crepes. I know I'll use it in another recipe. I will definitely be modifying this recipe.

Absolutely delicious! No sauce on hand so I started from the beginning, made the crepes, and WOW, it was melt in your mouth delicious! My husband and I both belonged to the clean plate club. Just another wonderful dish, thank you Anne!

Delicious! Took time to put it all together but worth it. I doubled the crepe recipe so I would have plenty for dessert.

I agree with 'doxi' from Greensburg, PA --Don't let the crepe part deter you from this recipe: I knew I wouldn't have the time to make the crepes, so I, too, used pasta shells. I'm sure the crepes make it extra special, but how super delicious was it anyway.

This recipe is not quick to prepare, but worth every minute. I found a crepe mix at World Market and used that, which saved some time. My husband said it was the best Manicotti he has ever had! Yum!!!!

These were AWESOME. I used store bought manicotti shells. The filling seemed loose and I was worried but they turned out perfect. The recipe sure does make alot so if you buy store bought manicotti shells, buy 2 boxes. This recipe is company worthy.
