After trying slow cooker and about 5 other "recommendations" from friends, this slow oven roasted pot roast has become the WINNER.

The meat was so tender and the sauce had so much flavor--definitely a favorite at the dinner table!

Great Recipe that will adapt well to other things. I used chicken Stock instead of beef stock and it was outstanding. I made it for my family as part of the Jewish New Year Dinner and everyone loved it.

    Thanks

This recipe was easy to follow. I don't have a dutch oven, so I used a large pot to sear the meat, saute the vegetables and add the wine and crushed tomatoes. Then, I placed the meat in a crock pot and poured the vegetables and juices over it. Just like they said in this episode, the quality of the products will affect the quality of the outcome. I used a nice Pinot Noir and it really was a delicious meal. This recipe will be added to my favorites.

I made this for a dinner party and everyone loved it. Besides tasting amazing, it was pretty easy to make and once I chopped up all the vegetables and put the meat in the oven, I was all set.
