Didn't try the pulled pork but I did make the BBQ Sauce. I agree with the others when they say the proportions are ridiculous! I had enough BBQ Sauce to sauce up half of the town!!!! Not to mention it was aweful!!!!

Made this for the Super Bowl and it was gone, gone , gone. The BBQ sauce was off the hook.
The people that wrote bad reviews need to learn how to follow directions and maybe just stick to carry out.
Keep up the great recipes and ideas.

How anyone can leave a positive comment on this recipe is beyond me??
I live in CT, and my Family and I go to Wilsons a few times a year. I was thrilled when I saw Mr. Wilson on TV. and thought I was going to be able to make this great pulled pork at home. The pulled pork at Wilsons restaurant is amazing! However this is NOT the same! No way, no how. FN, if you are not going to put up the recipe's as their original way, then why post this at all? The sandwich to sauce ratio is ridiculous, you've got enough sauce left over for 10,000 sandwiches? Why do they tell us to make so much? It might be nice to save it, if it were good, but it's not!
Very dissapointed in another Guys recipe, I agree witht the poster a few down that this is getting old with not accurate recipe's and most are from guys shows. I'm goin back to Neely's and Flay for real, true, accurate dishes!

Outstanding pulled pork sandwiches!! I cooked for 7 guests and everyone left stuffed wanting to eat more! The pork was seasoned awesome, and stayed super moist. The finishing "bbq sauce" was excellent. I'm having a pig roast at my wedding in august and will definitely be making the sauce for it. The whole process was awesome and I will definitely be making these pork sandwiches again. thanks GBB

The Cole slaw was a nice different approach.
Otherwise the rest was not good OR authentic. I live and have lived in NC for 45 years! Born, raised, still here. The last review is clearly posted by someone for FN.com . This is not myspace or facebook calling someone names and a personal attack is pretty childish and flat out rude, "Laura" is wrong, very wrong. Sauce is dreadfully bad and the time it takes for this meal is unheard of for a dinner recipe.
Bottom line, want authentic NC recipes?
Get 'em from someone in the South, NOT CONNECTICUT! LOL !

Tried this one a few weeks ago in the smoker and it turned out excellent. Also tried it out in the crock pot, same recipe, just added some liquid smoke in the crock pot because I was short on time, it was still great. Gotta make sure this is in my recipe box.

I have made this recipe several times now and my family and friends rave over it! This is the real deal from Carolina, at least what I had growing up and eating pork BBQ in NC and SW VA. So good! The slaw was so freaking good too. Very well balanced and zesty.
I have to comment that it makes my head spin when I see people make stupid comments like the one about vinegar, well if you didn't take the time to read over the recipe and see the large amount of vinegar in it, I wouldn't advertise my stupidity by leaving a bad review. Obviously (to most people this is going to have a strong vinegar flavor, as it should. This is the style of BBQ from this region and people go bonkers over it. Go make some of that sickly sweet Texas BBQ and stop being a dummy.

Holy vinager batman!!!
Horrible! Nothing but vinager flavor in this "award winning" sauce?
I will NOT do food network recipe's anymore, this is my 3rd in about a month and they do NOT give you the accurate recipe's.
And to boot, with initial set up, (stand at room temp for 60-90 minutes, 10 hour cook time, and 2 hours to clean the MASSIVE mess this disaster will leave in your kitchen plan on being in your kitchen from about 5:30 AM - 9-10is PM!! What a waste of a day.
Time and money down the drain...

8 pound pork shoulder.. Nearly $20.00....
1 QUART of Apple cider vinager $6.00
Ketchup, Worcestershire and all other ingredients, roughly $10.00
The look on all the faces of my family members as the pizza arrived after throwing this VINEGAR MESS away!?!?!?!?
PRICELESS....
Nothing good about any of these recipes.
The slaw was ok but still to strong with a mix of dijon and horse radish!
I watched the show several times, I followed each recipe step by step, there is NO way that these ingredients are true to fact! NO WAY !!
If you are not going to be honest with these recipes then just don't post the recipes...
I spent an entire Sunday devoted to this meal and about $40 or so. All I got was embarrassment and a dissapointed Family!!
Thanks a lot food network!
