We like this bread very much and I will make it again soon. I liked the balance of spices, moistness and is not too sweet. I added chocolate chips to one loaf and it was really good too. Only the baking time.....Took me 1h 15min! I`m using gas oven.
And after 45min lowered the temp. to 350 for 15min and back to 375 for last 15min and loaves come out perfect.

This recipe did not turn out well, for me, at all. I wondered about the 2/3 c. of water when I read the recipe, but, I've had such good luck with FN recipes that I decided to trust the recipe. The bread turned out just plain wet.

Very yummy and easy recipe. I made it even healthier by eliminating the 1 cup of oil and instead adding 1 cup of unsweetened canned applesauce. Still very moist. I also replaced 2 of the cups of sugar with light brown sugar. I added crushed walnuts. My family loved it. Cook a few minutes longer, though.

I really like to taste spice in my pumpkin bread. My sweet mom-n-law's bread is the only one I've been exposed to in years and hers is more bland tasting... so I was sure to be extra generous with the spices (I did not have allspice so perhaps kicking it up was necessary. I am also using a new oven which churned out dry cookies last week so I reduced the temp to 325 and the finished loaf took over an hour. (I upped it to 350 for the last 5 minutes or so. Just keep checking. My apartment smells divine!

I chopped up some semi-sweet chocolate squares and added it to the batter. They came out amazing and made great gifts as mini-loaves! I did have to extend the baking time, as many others have commented, but an hour was perfect.

This dessert bread is flavorful and oh so good! I agree with other posts, the bake time does need to be extended, but it does turn out very good. I brought this to several pot lucks and parties, many people wanted the recipe.

I looked through many recipes that did not have too many strong spices or nuts and thought this one looked the best. made this as muffins and a bread and it took about 25 mins. The only thing was the muffins or the bread did not really rise more than where I filled the cups to. They look great either way! I filled about 36 muffin tins and half of a 9x9 Pyrex bake dish with the batter the recipe called for. They came out great! Moist but not too moist to fall apart. I topped them with powdered sugar and everyone loved them so far!
