Remove crust from bread and cut into cubes. Heat skillet with butter and saute bread. Add sugar and cinnamon, saute until golden. Sprinkle milk over cubes and toss to mix well. Remove from heat, cool a few minutes. Scoop mixture into coffee cups and press onto sides of cup, leaving center open. Let cool completely. Fill center with a scoop of ice cream or sorbet, invert onto plate. Pour sauce over and serve.
Optional Sauces:
-Sliced bananas mixed with some sugar and rum. -Fresh fruits, raspberries, strawberries etc. -Saute apples and pecans with a little sugar. -Maple Syrup, rum and a squeeze of lime juice. -Rum Raisin Sauce; sugar and water boiled together until golden, add some cream, rum and raisins. -Apricot Sauce; apricot preserves heated with some water and sugar, thickened with cornstarch. -Duice de Leche- caramelized sugar and milk (Not easy or fast to make)
Milk and sugar boiled together with a vanilla bean and a pinch of baking soda for around 2 hours over very low heat
