Made this for a good friend's birthday dinner. Everyone loved it. Beautiful marriage of flavors. I'm not a big ground sausage fan, but it was great in this dish. I used canned artichokes for time's sake. Thanks, Tyler, for making both delicious and accessible food!

My husband and I cooked this meal (pasta and the chicken from same episode together and it was fun and fantastic tasting! Tyler is an amazing chef that really knows how to give great instruction.

We added extra garlic to both dishes. The sauce was creamy as if we had added heavy cream or butter. Absolutely delicious. We used canned artichokes and it came out perfectly. This was probably the easiest sauce I have ever made. It tasted as if we slaved over it all day. Definitely will be a recipe we use for years and years to come.

Thank you, Tyler Florence! You Rule!!!

I usually enjoy pastas similar to this, but something in the flavor of the cherry tomato sauce with the fresh veggies and italian sausage was just perfect. We didn't use all the pasta and the artichokes did need to cook a bit longer, so next time i would wait to cook zuchini until after they artichokes. Otherwise I could not stop eating it and devoured the leftovers that heated up well in a saute pan.
We used Turkey italian sausage and added a touch more fennel.
    Wonderful!

Husband and I prepared this together. If you are using fresh artichokes that have been pared down to hearts, they will not and cannot cook in 2-3 minutes as stated. There should have been some instruction regarding pre-cooking fresh artichoke hearts. The episode showed fresh 'chokes being used. We ended up putting the quartered hearts into the pasta water to get soft, and then added them to the veggie saute.
This worked out OK. Also, do not use a pound of pasta - 1/2 pound would have been better - one pound was too much and absorbed all the sauce. Needed more seasoning than described - had to add even more salt. Someone's idea of adding peppers and even hot links would have been an improvement. The recipe said 3/4 c. olive oil mixed with tomatoes - that seemed like a lot and we thought may have been a mistake, but worked out OK.

I love this recipe! I actually made a winter farmers market version and substituted the artichokes and zuchinni with fennel and yellow bell pepper. WOW! on a cold rainy day this was just what we needed! Tyler never ceases to amaze!!! the only bummer is breathing in the intoxicating fumes of the tomatoes cooking down for 45 minutes...... but well worth the wait!

Definite keeper. Easy and gourmet! Love the fresh, pureed pasta sauce. Can be made with or without the artichokes. Best with 1/2 lb. of pasta. Three hot sausage links are enough.

This dish is most certainly a winner. Fresh and healthy....I used Hot Turkey Italian Sauag., and a bit more seasoning salt. I knew this was really good when my 6 yr old who is picky about everything asked for seconds. I love the homemade tomato sauce and veggies...a great combination of flavors. You have to try this one. Oh and I must say, I made this dish in 49 mins. A meal that is healthy, tasty and fast.
