this recipe worked much better when I added another 1/2 bag of blueberries, and did'nt add any extra sugar with the extra berries. But still a very quick and easy cobbler. Lemon zest in the berries and vanilla added to the batter added to the flavor. Thanks... E. Sacramento, CA

This recipe is really great! It makes a delicious and easy blueberry cobbler. It is also so convenient because most people have all these ingredients on hand. The only thing that I added was a splash of vanilla extract, a tsp of cinnamon, and a tsp of salt. I normally like sweet desserts, so I really enjoyed this recipe using the amount of sugar that she called for. However, if you don't like your desserts so sweet, I recommend you cut back on the sugar a bit.

Once again I'm glad I read reviews first & didn't follow recipe as shown based on several comments that batter was unspectacular. I can't IMAGINE using all the sugar called for; reduced to 1/4 cup on frozen berries & 3/4 cup in flour mixture. Thanks to Kelly in Oregon & several others, I added lemon zest (to berries, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/4 tsp. salt & 1 tsp. cinnamon and was glad I did as batter would have been empty without additions. One thing I do like about using frozen berries is that because they remained on top they were still whole after baking, which made for a nice popping of the whole berries when we bit into the cobbler. This recipe I'll try again with other frozen fruits, but I printed it out with modifications suggested by others.

The "cake" mixture was not very good. I've done better when NOT using a recipe. It did not have the cobbler taste and no one wanted to eat seconds.

Even with half the sugar and added flavorings this is a disaster. We had a serving each but nobody wanted the leftovers. There are better recipes for using blueberries. Sure it's easy but not very good. Lovetobake

I made this for Mother's Day because my mom and I both love blueberries. Fresh berries are in season, and I used them instead of frozen. I agree with the other reviews that it definitely doesn't need as much sugar as the recipe states. I would reduce the amount combined with the berries by half. But I will definitely make it again - and will experiment with different fruits.

this was wonderful. I love cobbler but never thought it was so easy to make one. Literally took 5mins! The batter and everything turned out great but I did add some vanilla to the batter and a little cinnimon. I also only used 1/2 cup of sugar because we're not into REALLY sweet things. My mom and dad came to eat with us and the whole thing was GONE! It tasted wonderful and I used peaches instead of blueberries.

I halved the whole recipe (accidentally quartered the butter and didn't put a whole quarter cup of sugar on the berries, added a pinch of salt and vanilla to the batter, and the juice of half an orange to the berries. End result was great! Definitely tangy, but enough sweet to counteract it. I'd make it again, especially since we keep all the ingredients on hand.

I love cobblers for dessert, and this recipe is so easy...my family is loving this one in particular too. Once we were out of vanilla ice cream so we used fresh whip cream...that was good too!
