Kudos to Robin for thinking outside of the box, I wouldn't have thought of mixing these flavors... and it was tasty!

My husband likes spicy food, but he took one bite and said "take it away." I can't blame him, though. The adobo sauce just doesn't taste good with this recipe. We ended up throwing away the whole batch practically untouched.

What a horrible combo. Furthermore, we look to this channel for "different" recipes. Not ones we could easily do without watching tv. FN is going downhill...

While I KNOW how to heat up peas and carrots, I never would have thought of this combo. So glad the rest of these "food connoisseurs" knew it already. (Sorry, didn't mean to use such a big word for you guys!

It said on the package that I could also put the veggies in a pan on the stove to cook them. Is that okay? Could you also include directions on how to open the can of chipotles in the future - I couldn't figure out how to get to the adobo.

Hey FOOD NETWORK: Do you really think that people need a tv show to instruct them on how to nuke peas and carrots? You have a lot of nerve putting this so-called recipe up on your site. You know, I watched the first two episodes of The next Food Network Star and it it very clear that you arrogant people at Food Network really believe that your audience consists of stoupid soccer moms who cannot cook at all, and who want more show hosts that ramble on like Rachel Ray talking endlessly about themselves and their families. Give me a break!! This ridiculous channel has gone down the drain! It totally svcks now!!

I have tried and tried to get my kids to eat more of that healthful canned adobo sauce, but they always seem to rebuff my efforts. Then I ran across this recipe. What if I TRICKED them into eating adobo sauce by hiding it in some peas and carrots? Well, folks, it worked like a charm! Both my little ones got over 100% of their recommended daily intake of adobo sauce through this incredibly clever recipe.
