I made this for my in-laws, (always scary since my mother-in-law is an AMAZING Italian cook and they loved it!! She said you better write this recipe down and keep it because that was delicious! And it's simple to make too so I definitely recommend it!

I made this recipe last night for supper and it was a huge hit with myself and my family. I could not believe how easy it was to prepare. I had used the crockpot and within minutes, it was simmering away and I came home to a wonderful meal waiting for me. And the house had a fantastic aroma from the brisket simmering all day.
I had left out the potatoes and thickened the gravy with flour and then poured it over the meat and rice. There are a lot of possibilities with this recipe.
Thank you so much Robin for another great recipe that is a keeper and will be used a LOT!!

Loved the recipe as it had great taste and was easy to make. I would like the recipe for the very easy key lime pie as it was not on the recipe list on the computer list. Thank you.

Preparing to make this meal, I had some hesitation as I had never before made brisket. However, given the ingredients and the fact that you can put it all together and then forget about it for a few hours, I forged ahead. The results were wonderful; meat that was savory and vegtables that were just right! Also, the juice made a delicious gravy.
